The 2011 Good Beer Guide will be available from 16 September. This year's edition will cost only £10 to CAMRA Members and £15.99 for non-members, and is available for pre-order here. Now in its 38th year, the Guide presnts around 4500 great pubs to try out and enjoy.

The Great British Beer Festival ended having attracted record numbers of attendees. As a result around 200,000 pints were sold and over 1000 new members signed up to fight the good fight. For further news, videos and pictures, head over to the CAMRA British Beer Festival site.
Nottingham's Castle Rock Brewery has won the Champion Beer of Britain Award with its Harvest Pale. The 3.8% ale is a Blond beauty and also tasted the Bitter success in 2007. The success was announced at the Great British Beer Festival with Timothy Taylor Landlord coming second and Surrey Hills' Hammer Mild finishing third.

The Leopard in Burslem has won the Potteries Pub Preservation Group's Community Pub of the Year Award. In second place was the Coachmakers Arms in Hanley whilst Kidsgrove's the Blue Bell came in third. It's the second time the pub has won the award having previously tasted success in 2009 with the Coachmakers succeeding for the two years previous to that..
The Sun in Lichfield Road, Stafford reopened on Thursday 22 July. Formerly Tequila Red, the pub is the fifth to be opened by Burslem Brewery Titanic. The winebar inside has been replaced by a more traditional style in accordance with the rest of the Titanic fleet and the full range of ales is a given.
The Albion in Newcastle reopened on Friday 9 July. The Pub has had a full makeover and comes under the stewardship of Nigel Woolliscroft, The Old Brown Jug. Thankfully ale has appeared and all four handpumps are fully operational.
The 30th Stoke Beer Festival has been confirmed for Thursday 21 - Saturday 23 October 2010 at Fenton Manor Sports Complex. It's the first time since 2000 that the Festival has taken place somewhere other than the Kings Hall.
